Nature of the Disease:

The digestive system is group of organs accountable for the conversion of food into absorbable chemicals used as energy provider in our body. Gastric juices helps in digesting foods found in the digestive system, one of this is hydrochloric acid. Hydrochloric acid is a chief factor in our digestive process. Our stomach lining is protected by mucus that hydrochloric acids might not destroy the tissues. An increase amount of hydrochloric acid would develop the ailment termed as hyperacidity.
        Hyper acidity refers to the condition where there is an increase presence of hydrochloric acid in the gastrointestinal tract, especially in the stomach which usually produces a burning sensation.

Cause:

        There are many diseases in the gastrointestinal tract that would be a possible cause of hyper acidity. Stomach ulcer is one of the chief causes of having hyperacidity.
        In some cases, individuals with gastric disorder, the gastric juices in the stomach would reflux in the esophagus that would build up the acidity in the stomach.  In stomach cancer, hyperacidity might be the one of its symptoms.
        The factor that increases the risk of having hyper acidity is through improper diet such as excessive consumption of salty, spicy, oily and sour foods. These are usually the get through our continuous intake of processed foods, consumption of alcoholic drinks, drug addiction, even addiction of caffeine in constant intake of coffee, and also too much consumption of therapeutic (synthetic drugs) medication such as aspirin.

Effects:
        Hyper acidity would further give rise to gastritis, peptic ulcer, and duodenal ulcer. The effects of acidity in the body would be a burning cessation with a recurrent pain in the abdominal region. In some patients it would be accompanied by constipation.
        Good thing, it is not a communicable or transferable disease but would lead to severe complication if proper treatment is not provided. These would lead to possible insomnia, mental irritation, and the general health will slowly decline. In some patients would experience difficulty in swallowing, asthma, and wheezing, sneezing.
        It affects all individual regardless of age and sexuality.
