Nature of the disease:

                Migraine is a frequent and severe headache that is usually restricted to   merely one side of the head. A widespread disorder affects almost 10% of the whole population globally. It develops among people regardless of race, ethnic group and unrelated to the climate and geographical condition. In some individuals, it occurs during teenage years or early childhood. It is usually hereditary and tends to recur.

               

Cause:

        Most scientists thought for many years that the narrowing of blood vessels in the brain is the reason for having an aura of a migraine. The expansion of the blood vessels or vasodilatation cause the headache pain itself.

                Other factors can trigger the migraine attack these are the following:  women have changes in hormonal levels due to pregnancy, menstruation or menopause, excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, stress, and foods like chocolate, nuts, or aged cheese, over consumption of caffeine, sleeping disorders, exposure to bright light, unpleasant smell and changes in weather condition. Even some prescribe synthetic drugs cause migraine.

Effects:

        Migraine attacks come with no warning at all.A typical migraine is recognized with an intense, throbbing pain, which is accompanied with excessive sensitivity to light and nausea. In addition, the symptoms include the following: blurry vision, paleness and lightheadedness. The symptomatic attack may last for few hours to three days, accompanied with tiredness. This disorder attacks once or twice a week or year, most frequently an average of two attacks per month.

        The migraine attack consist of two phases the preheadache and actual headache phase.

Cure/Healing:
